(Washington, D.C.) – The Community Home Lenders of America (CHLA) announced today that Amanda Tucker has been appointed to the Board of Directors. In this role, Tucker will support the organization’s mission in promoting federal mortgage programs and regulations which support community mortgage lenders.
“Amanda is a strategic leader and a passionate advocate of housing policies that ensure the homeownership journey remains affordable for all stakeholders,” said Taylor Stork, president of CHLA. “With over 20 years of experience in risk and regulatory compliance, Amanda brings a breadth of knowledge that will help refine CHLA’s policy recommendations, particularly in the financial and regulatory sectors.”
Tucker brings over two decades of experience in risk and compliance management to CHLA, with a proven track record of elevating the operational excellence of a variety of financial institutions. In her current role as Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Atlantic Bay Mortgage Group, Tucker mitigates operational, financial, and regulatory risk across the company’s lines of business as well as oversees Atlantic Bay’s enterprise risk management, corporate compliance, and financial intelligence functionalities. Through her work at Atlantic Bay, she has led a number of companywide engagement initiatives to break down boundaries to fair lending, affordable housing and expansion of limited-English proficiency programs to ensure that all communities benefit from the path to homeownership. In addition to her day-to-day, Tucker provides insight and guidance through regular speaking engagements and conference appearances, confidently moderating industry-leading products and frameworks for communities and corporate partnerships.

Tucker holds a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Hartwick College and is a recipient of the 2023 HousingWire Women of Influence Award.
